Hey everyone! I hope you all had a great week.
Transfers were this week. Elder Merrill left to Alma Arkansas, which is were I came from before I was in Springfield. He is in the opposite end of the mission.
Elder Buhman is my new companion! He is fantastic. He is from Orem, Utah. He has been out for nine months and he knows how to get work done. He was excited to come to a new area and have a fresh start. Elder Buhman is fearless and knows the word of God well.
We had a lesson with Kayla which was so awesome! We found out that she lives just outside our area so we will be passing her off to the Elders over her area. Sad, but she will be in good hands.
We had a cool experience doing a "faith walk" this week. What that is, is we walk and each time we come to an intersection we pause and feel where the Spirit wants us to go. We did this at each turning point. The results of our faith walk: We talked to a member who we didn't know lived so close and scheduled a time to meet with them, we got ice cream from another member, and we found a new person!! We started walking one way but than felt we should turn around and walk down another street. I saw a lady gardening in her front yard and I complemented the shirt she was wearing! We started talking to her and we answered some of her questions she had about our church like, "are you guys allowed to dance?" She said she had been praying and reading her Bible and the chance that we just happened to walk by when she was in the front was no coincidence. I believe it was an answer to her prayer. Her name is Teresa and we are meeting with her later this week! When we left I felt to happy! I was so excited and I gave Elder Buhman a big hug! Enjoy this week!
